This space of Guler Riyasat is taken into account the birthplace of the Guler miniature work, which have been world-famous and had a wealthy heritage worth and are globally well-known.

Coming from the Guler lineage, Ankur Guleria launched me to his cousin, Raghav Guleria. Raghav has been related to the conservation of many tangibles & intangibles from Guler Riyasat for over 30 years.

Now being the custodian of the Guler Palace, he’s spearheading the continued restoration of the crimson brick fort overlooking the mighty Pong Lake.

He briefly appraised us on the way in which Guler’s miniature work have been made and what he was doing to revive the intricacies of the artwork of fresco wall work and the palace over a cup of refreshing natural tea.

Beforehand Raghav, who’s at present the chief correspondent for The Tribune, performed a workshop on Guler miniature work in 2022 at Nandpur Guler specializing in the delicacy of traces and vibrancy of colors.

He’s fairly instrumental in working for the preservation of the heritage of the Guler state. Sadly, the state Authorities doesn’t appear to be involving locals in efforts to revive the previous glory of Guler.
