Chocolate Malt Cake

Prep Time 10 minutes

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup cococa powder
  • 1/3 cup malted milk powder Horlicks, Ovaltine, and so on.
  • 1 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs giant, room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk refer notes
  • 2/3 cup boiling water
  • 1 tbsp prompt espresso powder

FOR FROSTING

  • 120 GM butter softened
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup malted milk powder
  • A pinch of salt
  • 2 cups icing sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 – 2 tbsp cream or milk
  • Chocolate for topping

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 180 levels. Grease and put aside 2 x 9 inch baking pans.

  • In a giant bowl, sift the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

  • Add within the sugar and provides it a great whisk.

  • Make a gap within the heart. Crack within the eggs and add within the oil, buttermilk and vanilla extract.
